Accounts Receivable SupervisorOur client is a rapidly expanding organization operating across multiple business units and customer channels. With continued growth and increased transactional volume, the company is strengthening its finance team by hiring an Accounts Receivable Supervisor to lead day-to-day receivables operations and elevate the team's effectiveness. This is a highly visible role within the accounting and finance department, offering the chance to lead a team, optimize processes, and directly impact cash flow and customer relationships.Position OverviewThe Accounts Receivable Supervisor will oversee a mid-sized AR team, ensure accurate and timely processing of receivables, support continuous improvement initiatives, and serve as a key liaison between Finance, Operations, Sales, and external customers. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & DevelopmentSupervise and mentor a team of approximately 68 AR specialistsProvide ongoing training, coaching, and performance feedbackEstablish clear expectations and support the team in meeting productivity and accuracy goalsAR Operations & Process OversightManage the end-to-end accounts receivable process, including invoicing, cash application, payment reconciliation, and collectionsEnsure transactions are posted accurately and promptly within the accounting system (NetSuite experience strongly preferred)Maintain a high standard of data integrity and documentationCustomer Relationship ManagementServe as the escalation point for customer billing questions, discrepancies, and payment challengesDevelop strong working relationships with customer contacts to support timely collections and issue resolutionCommunicate professionally and proactively with both internal and external stakeholdersReporting & Financial InsightPrepare and deliver regular reporting on aging, collections performance, KPIs, and outstanding balancesAnalyze trends to identify risks, opportunities, and process bottlenecksProvide findings and recommendations to managementCompliance & Best PracticesEnsure adherence to internal financial controls, company policies, and audit requirementsKeep abreast of industry standards and help implement best-in-class AR practicesSupport development or refinement of SOPsCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Operations, Sales, and Customer Service to address workflow issues, improve accuracy, and enhance the overall customer experienceServe as a key voice for AR in cross-departmental initiativesIssue Resolution & Continuous ImprovementInvestigate discrepancies and work with stakeholders to resolve them efficientlyIdentify recurring issues and implement preventive measuresLead or support process improvement projects focused on efficiency, automation, and scalabilityQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related fieldPrior experience supervising or managing accounts receivable teamsDeep understanding of AR processes and best practicesStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop team membersExcellent communication and customer service abilitiesHighly organized with exceptional attention to detailProficient in NetSuite and Microsoft ExcelIdeal Candidate AttributesConfident leader with a collaborative approachProblem solver who brings solutions, not just problemsComfortable working with data and making decisions from metricsAble to balance urgency with accuracyEnjoys improving processes and building a more scalable AR functionWhy This Role is a Great FitThis position offers the chance to impact financial operations in a meaningful way while leading a committed, growing team.
