Kelly Engineering is seeking at Building Management Engineer for our client in Marshall, MI. As a BMS Engineer, you will be at the forefront of constructing, integrating, optimizing, and maintaining Building Management Systems (BMS). Your role will encompass integrating HVAC, utility equipment, fire alarms, security, and other building systems into the BMS to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.


Essential Functions:

Lead Construction and Integration: Spearhead the construction and integration of BMS, incorporating HVAC, utility equipment, fire alarms, security, and other building systems.

System Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor and adjust system settings to enhance performance and achieve energy savings.

Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Address BMS-related problems promptly to minimize disruptions and maintain system integrity.

Policy Development and Enforcement: Develop and enforce policies to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Team Leadership: Provide leadership to a diverse team, offering guidance, training, and technical support to facility staff.

Upgrades and Enhancements: Evaluate and implement upgrades and enhancements to improve BMS functionality and efficiency.

SOP Development: Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for effective BMS management and operations.

PLC Management: Manage and troubleshoot issues related to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).


Minimum Qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in building system management and integration.

Technical Expertise: Proficiency in BMS systems, components, and integration techniques.

Software Skills: Strong command of BMS software and programming.

Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to tackle complex technical issues and devise effective solutions.

Communication Skills: Strong communication abilities and the capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Independence and Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work on schedule.

Work Schedule: Ability to maintain a full-time work schedule with regular in-person attendance.

Professional Interaction: Capability to interact professionally with individuals from varied backgrounds and skill levels.
