Managed Lanes Operator I

Managed Lanes Operator IIteris is looking for a Managed Lanes Operator I and must possess strong familiarity of the District's freeway and arterial systems as well as the managed lanes network. The Managed Lanes Operators will be the primary Operators of the Statewide Express Lanes Software (SELS). What you will be doing:Primary operators of the Statewide Express Lanes Software (SELS)Verify trip and segment toll amounts are displayed correctly every 15 minutesMonitor Express and general-purpose lanesManage events in the Express Lanes in accordance with District 7 ELOPs and District 7 RTMC SOPMonitor field devices along Express and general-purpose lanes and report failures in accordance with District 7 RTMC SOPClosely coordinate and support all Express Lanes operationsPrepare or assist with the preparation of Express Lanes reportsSend executive notification e-mails in the absence of a supervisor or Shift LeaderMonitor the status of Managed Lanes using CCTV cameras, RRSP, detector data, etc. to include detecting, confirming, updating, and responding to scheduled and unscheduled traffic and incident management events, congestion, and travel time imbalances in the geographical coverage areaEnter into SunGuide software all scheduled and unscheduled events and congestion in the Managed Lanes and disseminate information using ITS devices, websites, and FL511systemCoordinate with other Control Room staff, law enforcement, and external agencies in response to incidentsDispatch RRSPs and RISC to motorists, events, and to assist law enforcement in a timely and efficient mannerManage WWD events in the Managed LanesDetect, confirm, and report equipment faults affecting Control Room equipment and RTMC system field equipmentCoordinate with maintenance staff as neededFollow FDOT District 7 policies and procedures, including the District 7 RTMC SOPFollow time requirements in the District 7 RTMC SOP for event confirmation, RRSP and RISC dispatching, DMS message posting, FL511 system update, etc.What you need to be successful in this role:One (1) year experience as an Operator I in an RTMC or equivalent facilityAbility to gain acceptable skill in the use of SELS software within the allotted timeSkills in interpersonal relationships and ability to work well within a groupAbility to clearly communicate technical information in layman's termsAbility to work alternate work schedules and be on-call 24 hours/dayAbility to gain acceptable skill in the use of SunGuide software and Windows-based applications within the allotted timeAbility to write reports clearly and conciselyAbility to coordinate real-time activities and prioritiesKnowledge of communications and sending information via multiple communication devicesIteris anticipates paying an hourly rate between $22.00 and $24.00 for this role.
