Senior AccountantWe are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Bridgewater, New Jersey. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting records, and supporting compliance with financial regulations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment within the security industry. This contract is expected to be about three months in length and will be fully onsite in Bridgewater, NJ (five days a week).Responsibilities:Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are properly recorded and reconciled.Prepare and post journal entries to support accurate financial statements.Reconcile accounts and bank statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting issues and implement process improvements.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies in all financial processes.Assist in preparing financial reports and statements for internal and external stakeholders.Support audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.Utilize ERP systems to streamline and manage accounting operations efficiently.Monitor and analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.Requirements:Proven experience with month-end close processes, including preparing financial reports.Strong knowledge of general ledger management and accounting principles.Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries with accuracy.Expertise in reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies.Familiarity with ERP systems and their application within accounting functions.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure financial accuracy.Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with various teams.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
