Position Overview:The QC Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining quality control processes in compliance with industry standards and regulations on our projects throughout the Gulf Coast. We have private work as well as work through USACE and NAVFAC. This position requires strong leadership skills and extensive knowledge of quality control practices in the fields of dredging and marine construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel throughout the Gulf Coast on marine and dredging projects
- Develop and maintain a quality control program in accordance with industry standards and guidelines.
- Ensure all construction projects comply with relevant regulations and specifications.
- Perform regular inspections and audits of project sites, equipment, and materials to identify and resolve any quality control issues.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of quality control processes, procedures, and results.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to implement quality control measures and address any deficiencies.
- Train and educate team members on quality control processes and procedures.
- Conduct regular meetings to review quality control performance and address any areas for improvement.
- Identify and implement new and innovative quality control techniques.
- Communicate with clients and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and address any concerns.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and changes in regulations related to quality control.
- 3+ years of experience in quality control management, preferably in the fields of dredging, marine construction, or environmental restoration.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations
- USACE and NAVFAC experience a highly preferred
- CQM certification required
- Experience with quality control software and tools.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Nice to have: Experience with shoring, dewatering, wetlands, beaches, docks, or marshes.
- Competitive Salary 90-125K depending on experience
