ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the solar sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets. Provide ongoing training and development to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Customer Engagement: Identify and engage potential customers through various methods, such as cold calling, referrals, networking, and attending industry events. Maintain a database of leads and prioritize them for sales outreach.
  • Education and Consultation: Educate customers on the benefits of solar energy, including cost savings, environmental advantages, and available incentives. Explain the solar installation process, system components, and financing options to potential customers.
  • Proposal Management: Collaborate with design and engineering teams to create personalized solar energy proposals based on site assessments and customer preferences. Present proposals to customers, address their questions and concerns, and negotiate terms to secure contracts.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market share and achieve revenue goals. Analyze sales metrics and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing exceptional service throughout the sales process and addressing post-sale inquiries or concerns. Assist customers with completing necessary paperwork and contracts for solar system installation, financing, and incentives.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience and effective project execution. Share insights and best practices to enhance overall sales effectiveness.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • The preferred candidate has experience in the solar industry, or a background in distribution sales or wholesale distribution.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a sales team, driving performance and achieving targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to customers and team members.
  • Strong customer service skills, with a focus on building lasting relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Resilient with an upbeat and energetic personality. Self-motivated and quick-thinking, with a positive attitude and team player mindset.
  • Solutions-driven, with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
