AR MANAGER

What's needed:

• Candidates must have construction or similar industry experience
• Ideally a minimum of 3 years experience, this can also be experience in a business similar to construction i.e. landscaping, mining etc.
• Experience with ERP implementation - currently going through one
• Acumatica experience is a huge plus

• Team Captain: Manage the AR Construction Billing team (3), ensuring everyone is on track and thriving.
• Invoice Maestro: Oversee the preparation and accuracy of client invoicing, making sure everything is spot-on.
• Training Guru: Coordinate training programs for new staff and identify training needs for current team members.
• Efficiency Expert: Ensure timely completion and delivery of customer invoicing, keeping things running smoothly.
• Audit Ace: Conduct audits as needed or requested by division managers, accounting manager, or CFO.
• Collection Champion: Oversee the collection process, frequently review AR aging, and set collection goals with the AR team.
• Problem Solver: Research customer discrepancies, assign collections to team members, and resolve issues quickly.
• Decision Maker: Make appropriate decisions on account activity, consulting with division managers when needed.
• Report Virtuoso: Prepare reports and root cause analyses to keep the Controller informed of results and opportunities.

Secondary Adventures:

• Collaboration: Work with other department managers as needed to keep operations seamless.
• Account Management: Maintain and update customer account files, adding new clients and refreshing current info.
• Documentation Pro: Process contracts, lien waivers, and insurance certificates.
• Compliance Hero: Ensure AR staff issues credit/debit memos per company policy and guidelines and complies with government requirements.
• Special Projects: Assist with additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Experience: 4+ years in AR management, preferably in construction, landscape billing, or a similar industry.
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, excellent organizational and time management skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Tech Savvy: Previous use of a large-scale ERP system.
• Education: Relevant degree preferred.
