Join a close-knit team that continues to take part in innovative medicine and live in the excitement of Where Amazing WorksAs the Clinical Laboratory Supervisor, you will help lead a team of Laboratory Technologists and support staff to foster an environment of engagement and collaboration. Provide day-to-day oversight of a 24/7 lab operations for testing in Clinical Hematology, Chemistry, Blood Bank and Microbiology and cover the benches on an as needed basis. Blood Bank & Hematology expertise in particular is ideal for this position. Assist with the preparation for on-site visits from Joint Commission, CAP, and other regulatory agencies. Train new staff on our state of the art equipment and the NYP culture and values. Thrive on the leading edge of clinical laboratory advancement, at one of the most respected centers in your field.This is a full time day shift position with occasional weekend coverage as needed, plus oversight extending to evening & night shift as is inherent with a leadership position. Location is our Allen Hospital campus in Upper Manhattan/Inwood.Preferred Criteria:ASCP CertificationMasters DegreeBlood Bank and Hematology expertise strongly encouraged3 years of experience as a laboratory supervisorRequire Criteria:Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology or a related health science fieldNew York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License from New York Education DepartmentMinimum of 4 years of clinical laboratory experience or 2 years of clinical laboratory experience with Master's degree or 1 years of experience with a MD, DO or doctoral degree in a chemical, physical or biological scienceMeets all requirements of the New York State Department of Education for a Laboratory SupervisorJoin a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
