Assistant lab supervisor - chemistry

Full time\\ Per Role

Shift: DAY Mon-Fri 9am-5pm

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

  • Assistant supervisor (Special Chemistry - Lab) position Job functions are specific duties that would be included in the essential functions of the job description. These functions are not all-inclusive nor do they cover the full extent of the duties performed.
  • Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Coordinates and administers proficiency testing.
  • Insures quality control of laboratory procedures.
  • Schedules maintenance of laboratory equipment.
  • Maintains inventory of laboratory chemicals.
  • Review test results.
  • Maintains policy and procedure manual.
Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor Science Degree in medical / Clinical Technology or related science with four years of relevant acute hospital experience.
  • ASCP / AMT / NCA Certification preferred.
  • Current NYS License or Licensure eligible required.
