Performance Beauty Group invests in these brands to facilitate their growth in the Direct to Consumer (DTC), Retail and Distributor channels both in the domestic and international markets. As part of that strategy Performance Beauty Group is building out the marketing, operational and supply chain functions of the organization to facilitate fast growth and operational excellence.
Job Summary:
The Quality Technician will be required to conduct Quality line job duties. Responsible for preparing, verifying, validating and quality checking cosmetic products and procedures. Continuous goal to increase efficiency profitability, customer satisfaction, and provide assistance to the production team as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Line inspection; verify bulk, components, labels, etc.
- Verify Certificate of Analysis or Certificate of Compliance against bulk, components, labels, etc.
- Measure various components against standards or drawings.
- Collect appropriate amount of finished product samples for retains, and microbial/analytical testing.
- Verify net weight/fill weight.
- Keep in contact with QC Manager for workflow and resolving problems.
- Keep in contact and work together with Production Manager, Supervisors, Line Leads, and the Director of Operations and Supply Chain. Able to speak up and work with other departments.
- Enforce rules and procedures during production processes and take necessary actions as needed.
- Participate in preparations of different reports as needed and directed.
- Record temperature/humidity logs as needed.
- Work along shipping department to verify correct information is being used before shipping finished goods.
Knowledge and Competencies:
- Knowledge of“CGMP” in cosmetics industry
- Knowledge of sampling and measurement using quality tools or scales
- Speak and write English
- Basic mathematical skills
Experience / Abilities:
- Minimum High school diploma or Equivalent
- At least two years experience in manufacturing of FDA regulated products
- Ability to communicate using written and verbal skills
- Conduct yourself with honesty & integrity
- Basic understanding of simple math, written instructions, and the ability to complete forms and necessary paperwork
- Capable of reading and understanding production documents and safety manuals in English.
- Ability to type at least 25 words per minute.
- Basic computer skills and experience using MS Word and Excel.
- Cleanliness and organization
- Lift at least 20 lbs. at a time
- Ability to identify and distinguish colors
- Ability to use hands and fingers to operate components
- Ability to crouch, bend, twist in the production environment
- Stand for extended periods of time
- Experience in cosmetic manufacturing and/or in a GMP environment is a plus
- Previous production experience required
- Must be detailed oriented
- Bilingual/Spanish is a plus

Travel and Hours:
This position is full-time, Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
P.P.E. Required Work Attire:
Hairnet, company provided lab coat/smock, gloves, dust mask if desired, safety googles when within 3 feet from operating equipment, closed toe shoes and with slip resistant sole preferred.
