Assistant Vice President, PurchasingA rapidly expanding national service organization is seeking a strategic and execution-focused Assistant Vice President of Purchasing to lead both direct and indirect procurement operations. This role drives standardization, compliance, and cost optimization across a distributed network ensuring purchasing practices align with financial goals and operational needs. The ideal candidate is a data-driven leader who can scale processes, elevate team performance, and build strong internal and supplier partnerships.Key Responsibilities:Lead and develop a high-performing team of direct and indirect buyers, ensuring alignment with company-wide prioritiesOversee sourcing and procurement across materials, services, and equipment categories, including fleet parts, consumables, uniforms, IT, and facilitiesEstablish and enforce purchasing standards, controls, and audit-ready procedures to drive consistency and complianceOwn vendor strategyselection, performance management, and contract adherence across national and local suppliersLeverage analytics and reporting tools to monitor spend, track KPIs, and identify savings opportunitiesPartner on digital transformation efforts, advancing automation, catalog management, and purchasing workflowsCollaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and supply chain leadership to ensure purchasing strategy supports business objectivesQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field8+ years of progressive procurement or purchasing experience, including 3+ years in leadership rolesDemonstrated success in vendor management, sourcing strategy, and process improvementProven track record of delivering cost savings and operational efficiencyStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsIndustry experience in fleet services, logistics, automotive, or related sectors strongly preferredProficiency with ERP and procurement systems; familiarity with analytics tools such as DOMO or Power BISalary & Benefits:Base salary: $190,000 $220,000 + bonusMedical, dental, vision, and life insurance401(k) retirement programPaid time off, holidays, and sick leaveProfessional development and certification support
