This role offers a supportive team environment, hybrid flexibility, and an immediate start.Key Details:Duration: 56 months (chance of extension)Schedule: On-site with one remote day per week (Monday or Friday, depending on team schedule)Pay: $25$28/hourEnvironment: Great team culture and collaborative workplaceExperience Required: 23 years in accounts payable or related roleAvailability: Can interview and start ASAPJob DescriptionThe Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing accounts payable-related activities and procedures for the organization, ensuring that all accounts are properly paid, and providing accurate and timely management reports. This role requires attention to detail and a passion for accurate and compliant practices. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all levels within the organization. They will lead their team to ensure they provide support to our customers while ensuring partnership and collaborative fiduciary responsibility for the company.ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee accounts payable activities and procedures.Ensure all accounts are accurately and timely paid.Provide accurate and timely management reports.Demonstrate strong communication skills to interact with all organizational levels.Lead and support the team in providing excellent customer service.Uphold collaborative fiduciary responsibility for the company.Essential SkillsProficiency in accounts payable, accounting, invoicing, and invoice processing.Experience with three-way matching and accounts payable processes.Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.Experience with Oracle systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsOver 2 years of high-volume accounts payable experience.Experience with PO match exceptions.Oracle experience is a significant advantage, especially in assisting with Oracle Fusion implementation on the supply chain side.Bachelor's degree is a plus.Work EnvironmentThe position is part of a team of six in the accounts payable group, located in a newly reconstructed office with a casual environment where jeans are permitted. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30/5:00 PM. The role requires in-office presence at least four days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays or Mondays once fully up and running.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Overland Park, KS.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
