Departmental Analyst 9-12The Department of Insurance and Financial Services (DIFS) is seeking an individual to work in public service as a Departmental Analyst in the Licensing Section of the Office of Insurance Licensing, Investigations, and Audits. The right candidate will play a critical role in the insurance regulatory framework of Michigan. You will review active insurance licensees to ensure they are complying with applicable requirements. This role involves researching and reviewing reports of misconduct, including insurer appointment terminations for cause, disciplinary actions taken by other states, and other compliance issues, using information from insurers, licensees, agencies, background checks, and industry data. You will be responsible for maintaining records on compliance cases and associated data, coordinating case priority, and preparing case summaries and detailed compliance action referrals.
