YMX Logistics is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional VP Operations - Central Region to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the business, including Safety, strategic planning, financial management, people development, and regulatory compliance. They will lead teams to optimized efficiency, drive growth, and ensure the company's competitiveness in the transportation industry.


Responsibilities

Leadership and strategic management skills: Must possess strong leadership abilities to oversee and manage all aspects of the company's operations. This includes setting strategic goals, developing operational plans, and leading teams to achieve objectives efficiently.


Financial acumen: A solid understanding of financial management principles, budgeting, and cost control is crucial to ensure the company's financial health and profitability.


Strategic planning: Responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to drive growth, improve efficiency, and enhance the company's competitive position in the market.


Relationship management: Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills are essential to collaborate effectively with other executives, department heads, clients, vendors, and stakeholders.


Problem-solving and decision-making abilities: Must be able to analyze complex issues, identify solutions, and make sound decisions quickly and effectively, often under pressure.


Change management expertise: Adept at managing change, whether it involves implementing new technology, expanding into new markets, or restructuring operations.


Regulatory compliance knowledge: A thorough understanding of local, state, and federal regulations governing the transportation industry is necessary to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks.


Vision and innovation: A forward-thinking mindset and the ability to anticipate industry trends, identify opportunities for innovation, and drive continuous improvement within the organization.


Qualifications

7+ Years of progressive experience in logistics/operations management role(s), including project management and budget ownership responsibilities.


Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, transportation management, or a related field.


Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, fleet management systems, route optimization software, and other relevant technology tools used in the industry.


Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products.


Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.


Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
