VP, Professional Practices Senior ManagerThe VP, Professional Practices Senior Manager plays a key leadership role within the Internal Audit function. This role is responsible for shaping and executing an innovative, industry-leading strategy for Professional Practices across Internal Audit. Key responsibilities include driving comprehensive audit professional practices, developing a dynamic, risk-based annual audit plan, and delivering key Audit Committee Reporting. This leader collaborates closely with the Synchrony Audit peer group to develop and execute department strategies, engagement activities, and other key projects throughout the year. This role reports to the SVP, Internal Audit Professional Practices.Essential responsibilities include promoting a culture of proactive audit quality, leading the development of a dynamic, risk-based annual audit plan, developing and delivering key Audit Committee Reporting, supporting and coordinating regulatory engagement, serving as the functional designee for Internal Audit supplier management, maintaining strong external engagement, delivering high-impact reporting, and overseeing the issues management process.Qualifications/requirements include a Bachelors' degree in Accounting and a minimum of 8 years of relevant audit experience or in lieu of degree, 14 years equivalent experience. Certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or related certification are required. Experience in audit methodology, standards, and practices, including Institute of Internal Auditors standards, and experience directly managing, mentoring, or supervising a team of professionals and/or managers of people are also required. Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and experience interacting with regulatory bodies is necessary.The salary range for this position is $150,000.00 - $250,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance. Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge. Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
