An IntroductionFounded locally in 1973 by returning Vietnam Veterans, today's Veterans Outreach Center remains anchored in our community and offers a comprehensive portfolio of supportive services designed to meet the needs of veterans and their families. What it's like to be a Residential Services Live-In Overnight Support Staff at Residential Services Live-In Overnight Support StaffAs a Residential Services Live-In Overnight Support person at Veterans Outreach Center, Inc., you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe and supportive environment for our male veteran residents during after-hours. Your responsibilities will include providing on-call support from 11 PM to 7 AM, addressing any situations that may arise, and offering individual assistance to clients when needed. Additionally, you'll facilitate conflict resolution between residents, fostering a respectful and peaceful living atmosphere. This position not only requires quick thinking and empathy but also provides an opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of those who have served our country.
Are you a good fit for this Residential Services Live-In Overnight Support Staff job?To be successful as a Residential Services Live-In Overnight Support person at Veterans Outreach Center, Inc., you should possess a high school diploma or higher, coupled with at least one year of experience in a residential facility. Familiarity with the unique challenges faced by veterans and the homeless or at-risk populations is crucial, as this will enhance your ability to provide effective support. Additionally, strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills are necessary to navigate interactions with residents compassionately and effectively.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- HS diploma or higher level of education achieved along with one year of experience in a residential facility or other relevant work experience.
- Experience working with veterans and/or the homeless and at-risk population strongly desired.
- Military experience strongly preferred.
