About the Job

Mitigation Investment Holdings (MIH) has an immediate opening for a Sales Manager to join our team in our Midwest/Upper Plains Region. We have some exciting projects in the pipeline, with more on the horizon You will identify and help the MIH team source land for new projects. Our Sales Manager will develop positive relationships with landowners, regulatory agencies, consultants, and key stakeholders to sell environmental mitigation credits. This position must demonstrate strong sales, organizational, and financial acumen, independent problem-solving, and practical communication skills.


What You Will Do

  • Communicate effectively with potential customers and clients and hold quality conversations to generate qualified prospects and ultimately secure sales;
  • Make new client contacts, create a pipeline of potential customers and clients, and assist with driving the prospect to the ultimate goal of client commitment and contract execution;
  • Review, analyze, and track public information that may lead to future customers and clients;
  • Represent the Company in liaising with industry groups and outside stakeholders.
  • Utilize Salesforce to log and track all sales leads and opportunities.
  • Create and develop positive business relationships with potential customers and clients, establish rapport and set up meetings;


Ideal Candidates

  • Information and Database Management - Build/populate/maintain various information to track and evaluate potential customers and clients and sales status inside and outside of Salesforce;
  • At least three(3)-years of experience in mitigation bank credit sales, agricultural banking/loans, or environmental services sales roles;
  • Support sales operations with other duties as needed;
  • Understanding of financial concepts and financial modeling;
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and projects;
  • Solution-oriented problem solving;
  • Discretion while handling confidential data:
  • High-level attention to detail;
  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in marketing, finance, economics, or a related field of study;
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of solid, practical experience in sales and opening doors to new opportunities.

LOCATION and TRAVEL: The preferred work location for this role is in Columbia, IL; however, remote locations will be considered. Sales territory is IL, IN, MO, IA, WI, MN, the Dakotas, and Montana. Travel is involved.
