*Description: *The Clinical Director is a member of the Leadership team and provides support and oversight in the planning, development, execution, and on-going evaluation of all clinical aspects of TRC, ensuring professional standards and ethics are upheld, as well as all applicable regulations and licensing requirements. The Clinical Director manages the clinical team, building culture among staff and programs in alignment with the company’s mission, vision, and core values. The Clinical Director enhances the company’s capacity to meet legal, ethical and professional standards, promoting professional development and monitoring compliance. The Clinical Director may be an Independent Contractor, but reports to the COO of the company.

*General Duties & Responsibilities:*

· Serves as member of Leadership team and collaborates with members of leadership to develop strategic goals for sustainability and growth of company;

· Oversees all clinical aspects of the organization by directing, supervising and monitoring the work of clinical staff in the provision of substance abuse treatment services;

· Delivers supervision to interns, CSAC supervisees and / or Residents in Counseling; provides weekly clinical supervision as appropriate.
* Empowers team of clinicians in the provision of care and collaborative work within the organization;

· Reviews and monitors all clinical documentation for compliance and quality (screenings, assessments, group and individual sessions, treatment progress, treatment plans, and client coordination of care) and conducts regular quality assurance and quality improvement reviews to ensure that all appropriate record-keeping is performed on a timely basis;
* Coordinates and maintains clinical group scheduling rotation;

· Works closely with Program Director & Medical Director to ensure quality and effectiveness of all programs, services, and clinical care;

· Collaborates with COO and other leadership members in development and strategy;
* Conducts group and / or individual therapy sessions, as well as other direct service activities;

· Reviews curricula and other program materials for clinical appropriateness;

· Reviews and remains up to date with appropriate licensing and regulatory requirements applicable to organization’s services;

· Ensures counseling staff have been adequately trained in the use of any curriculum being delivered to clients;

· Devise evaluation strategies to monitor performance and determine the need for improvements; discover ways to enhance efficiency and productivity of procedures and people;

· Helps ensure that program and its staff maintain high level of ethical and professional standards;

· Facilitates treatment team meetings, as well as other interdepartmental meetings when needed;

· Participates in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures relative to clinical care and services;

· Be responsible for maintaining active license and in good standing;

· Other duties as delegated.

*Minimum Qualifications*

· Master’s degree in addiction studies, mental health counseling, or social work (or related field).

· Current license from state board to practice in the state of Virginia as LSATP, LPC or LCSW.

· Minimum one (1) year experience providing supervision to clinical staff in a substance abuse program; proven approval to supervise by state board.

· Minimum two (2) years experience in the delivery of substance abuse treatment.

· Complete training as lay rescuer for REVIVE (Naloxone)

· Must consent to criminal background check, including a fingerprint check

· Must complete TB Screening

*Competencies & Skills*

· Possesses clinical elements of substance abuse treatment and knowledge of various treatment modalities.

· Strong knowledge of county, state and federal regulations.

· Knowledge of methods for appropriate clinical documentation in a treatment setting.

· Knowledge of techniques for effective assessments and case management.

· Ability to write clear and concise reports and to interpret statistical data.

· Ability to analyze therapeutic processes and determine means of maintain and/or increasing efficiencies.

· Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

· Strong organizational and time-management skills

· Outstanding communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
