Vice President Of Shared Platform ServicesStep into a transformative leadership role as the Vice President of Shared Platform Services at Clarivate. In this position, you will architect, operate, secure, and continuously evolve our shared technology platforms, including infrastructure and services that form the technological backbone for global information services company. These platforms encompass physical datacenter and public cloud infrastructure, internal developer platforms and tools, APIs, identity, authentication and entitlement services, monitoring, and service reliability capabilities. You will be responsible for ensuring that these platforms are secure, scalable, highly available, compliant to regulatory requirements, cost-efficient, and responsive to dynamic business needs. Your leadership will foster innovation, efficiency, and consistency. This position works closely with product engineering, operations, finance, security, and business stakeholders to drive enterprise-wide growth and unlock new potential.About You: Experience, Education & SkillsEducation: Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a closely related field.Professional Experience: At least 12 years working in software engineering, platform, infrastructure, or operations roles. Leadership: Minimum of 10 years in senior leadership positions (such as Director, Senior Director, or Vice President), specifically overseeing platform, infrastructure, or shared services teams.Technical Expertise: Demonstrated success in building and operating large-scale platforms and shared services within complex, global environments. This includes experience with microservices, cloud and hybrid architecture, automation, and physical infrastructure.Specialized Skills: Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, containerization, orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes), observability, reliability engineering, and DevOps practices.Additional Technical Experience: Familiarity with service-oriented architecture, API gateways, event-driven systems, data platforms, identity and authentication systems, infrastructure as code, and internal developer platforms are highly valued.Operational Management: Experience in budgeting, resource planning, and managing vendor relationships.Global Collaboration: Proven ability to work with engineering and operations teams across multiple regions, including the USA, Europe, the Middle East, and India.Incident Management: Hands-on experience managing a 24/7 rapid response center (such as a Network Operations Center, Incident Management, or Monitoring Center).Compliance & Security: Working knowledge of major compliance and security frameworks (such as SOC2, GDPR, and ISO standards).Mergers & Acquisitions: Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures in a global organization, including the rapid integration of personnel and systems.It would be great if you also have:Masters degree or MBAExperience with multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud architecturesPrior experience in internal developer platforms or infrastructure-as-code environmentsProven experience in physical data centre consolidationExpertise in scaling internal platforms while preserving developer experienceAdditional familiarity with compliance and security frameworks (e.g., SOC2, GDPR, ISO)In this role, you will:Set the vision, strategy, and governance for shared platforms across the enterprise.Lead architectural decisions to ensure platforms are modular, consistent, and aligned with business goals.Oversee the development and operation of core platform services (DevOps, CI/CD, monitoring, data, identity, APIs).Ensure platforms are reliable, secure, scalable, and cost-effective.Track platform health using SLAs, metrics, and dashboards.Drive ongoing improvements through automation and reliability engineering.Collaborate with teams to prioritize investments and remove friction.Manage vendor relationships and platform integrations.Lead and develop platform engineering and operations teams.Promote standardization and cross-functional alignment.Balance immediate needs with long-term platform sustainability.Oversee risk management, compliance, audits, and disaster recovery.Manage budgets, staffing, and roadmap priorities.About the TeamAt Clarivate, technology is the backbone of innovation and progress.
