Our client is a stakeholder in the largest nationwide residential career training program in the country since 1991. They provide meaningful and quality education, training & employment services to disadvantaged youth.


Qualifications:

  • Teaching certification in the state of TN
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Schedule Monday-Friday 7:30-4:30 PM


Responsibilities:

Will support students by offering customized and individualized education services to ensure students reach their highest potential and career goals. Support students in the process of earning their high school diploma or GED. Instructors manage and monitor student progress through an online education program, focusing on math, reading, and GED preparation. The position requires year-round commitment with a standard work schedule of 8-5 PM CST and does not include summer breaks. Class sizes average 18 students per instructor, with students grouped by their Educational Functioning Level (EFL), ranging from levels 1-3 to levels 4-6. Instructors are provided with a curriculum for math and reading and are responsible for developing individualized learning plans based on student assessments. The role may also involve creating lesson plans and providing one-on-one tutoring. The school operates on an open entry and exit model, with a continuous flow of students. The position demands a dedicated individual capable of engaging challenging students and contributing to a small faculty team of approximately 5-6 teachers.
