Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paramedic Leader to join our team. As a Paramedic Leader, you will be responsible for responding to emergency calls, providing medical care to patients, and leading our team of paramedics. You will also be responsible for administrative tasks, such as scheduling and payroll, and will work closely with our staff to ensure the smooth operation of our services.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls and assess the medical needs of patients
  • Administer medical treatment and interventions according to established protocols and guidelines
  • Provide leadership and support to our staff
  • Facilitate administrative tasks, such as scheduling and payroll
  • Inspect and report damage or deficiencies with ambulances and equipment
  • Participate in public education and training programs
  • Monitor employee performance and provide feedback
  • Assure all ambulance billing information is complete and accurate
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a Paramedic program and current/valid Illinois Department of Public Health License
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed paramedic
  • Ability to complete continuing education and testing requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Current/Valid Illinois Driver's License
  • State of Illinois Firefighter Certifications (for Firefighter applicants)

  • PHTLS/ BTLS/ITLS
