YOUR DAY TO DAY:
You‘ll be member of a Design-Development Mechanical Engineer team focused on the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge mechanical solutions for our antenna systems and metal space frame (MSF) radomes products. In this position, you will be involved in driving projects from concept to completion. Combine your increasing technical expertise with strong communication skills to drive results.
YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:
- Participates in overall detailed product design of assigned device, component, or system.
- Recognizes design problems and errors and applies/recommends corrective actions.
- Applies a good understanding of the organizationally defined engineering processes used through the lifecycle of the program or project.
- Supports the generation of engineering products by using appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
- Contributes to the research and analysis of data such as customer design proposal specification and manuals to determine feasibility of design of application.
- Demonstrates understanding of appropriate technology and products to enhance design capabilities.
- Demonstrates leadership and ownership of design projects
- Performs other related duties as assigned
YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE:
- Bachelor‘s or Master‘s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 3-5 years‘ experience in mechanical engineering or product design
- Experience with engineering concepts, principles, and theories
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) and engineering simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions based on data and analysis
- Creative thinking capability
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials selection, and quality control principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Accurate and strong attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office and popular design software
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Must be a U.S. citizen
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Prior experience in structural analysis tools is strongly preferred
- Prior machine shop experience is a plus
