Merchandising Fall Internship


The Clever Factory is looking for a driven and talented Merchandising Intern to support our Product Managers in the following categories: gift bags, stationery, calendars, greeting cards and tags, and seasonal products 

We are a dynamic product development company, located in Nashville, TN, and we create products for major retailers in the US and internationally.


Responsibilities: 

  • Assist Merchandising group to achieve department goals and objectives
  • Complete specific internship assignments in a timely manner with the guidance of Product managers
  • Support Merchandising department and assist with activities of assigned department(s) including, but not limited to, end-to-end assortment, financials, analysis, specs and overall category strategy
  • Interpret data trends and apply own knowledge to inform business decisions
  • Conduct market research, trend analysis, and shopping to identify emerging consumer preferences and market trends


Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work in groups or independently
  • Accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to preserve confidentiality of information
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to present information to various levels of the organization
  • Managing multiple priorities between school, work, or extra-curricular activities
  • Responds to change as a positive challenge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and/or Google Suite
  • Significant level of multi-tasking
  • Any professional/internship experience in a business-related field
  • Any specialized skill sets in any of the following areas: Product Management, Merchandising, Product Development, or CPG experience
