This Head of Compensation & HRIS will be an important, influential leader within a transformative HR team. They will provide subject matter expertise in compensation while leading Compensation and HRIS teams to design and implement pay strategies and practices that will attract and retain employees. They will also have oversight for the system that collects and reports compensation and employment data for the organization.


This Head of Compensation & HRIS will work closely with all leaders within the organization to plan and align compensation philosophy aligned to strategy and design, ensuring that data impacting pay and employment are accurately reflected throughout. This role is ideal for an innovative, communicative and collaborative Compensation/ Systems professional who understands how Compensation contributes to an organization's ability to attract, recruit, engage, develop, and retain top talent, drive employee engagement, and achieve performance goals. This role will have oversight for HR technology, including policies, procedures and HR information systems integration and delivery.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and develop the Compensation and HRIS teams to ensure effective and timely delivery of services.

• Work closely with leaders and stakeholders, create and implement Compensation philosophy and strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.

• Establishes, communicates and implements organizational and functional policies and practices, adapting to meet the needs of both internal and external constituents while supporting the organization's mission and complex operations.

• Provide guidance and consultation to leaders on compensation programs, policies and practices.

• Creates functional area strategies aligned to the organization's objectives and market /competitive data, supported by strong analytics.

• Provide leadership, direction and guidance in Compensation design and implementation of structures.

• Oversees, creates and implements Compensation communication/education strategies.

• Leads HRIS and adjacent systems (SAP Success Factors, ATS, Onboarding, Performance Management, Enterprise Org Chart, etc.).

• Prepares and delivers presentations to Executive and Sr Leaders on HRIS initiatives, communicating updates to stakeholders on projects.

• Oversees all employment data, providing appropriate reporting and presentations as necessary.

• Creates and delivers advanced reporting and modeling as necessary.

• Collaborates with IT, HR and leaders to improve Talent and Performance Management, Talent Development and other strategic functions for Human Resources.

• Ensures all compliance requirements including annual Dept of Labor surveys, pay equity, merit process, compression analysis, etc.


PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

• BS degree or equivalent along with 10+ years of compensation experience designing and managing all aspects of compensation, equity, and incentive plans. Master’s degree preferred.

• Compensation certification highly desired.

• Demonstrated ability to design, develop and clearly communicate compensation and HRIS strategies across the organization.

• A consultative and facilitative approach with the ability to engage, collaborate and influence at all levels required.

• Proven ability to work closely with Executives on all aspects of Compensation including competitive positioning, short and long-term incentive design, equity management, tax compliance, SEC regulations, executive agreement design and compliance.

• Hands-on knowledge of equity plan design and administration.

• Analytical thinker adept at modeling, assessment, and judgement skills with the ability to create and present data in a clear and concise manner.

• Strong vendor management skills.

• Knowledge of HR technology and operations with the desire and ability evaluate, recommend, and implement systems as appropriate.

• Ability to develop strong, credible relationships across all levels, including Executives.

• Proven experience leading, motivating teams.
