As a Consultant in Operational Finance Transformation, you will work as part of a team to help clients improve their finance business operations and achieve their strategic goals. You will support the identification, analysis, and implementation of business and technology solutions that drive operational effectiveness and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include conducting research, analyzing data, preparing presentations, assisting with requests for proposal (RFPs), project deliverables, and contributing to the evolution of Deloitte's Operational Finance offerings.Key areas of focus include:Project SupportProcess Analysis and ImprovementOperating Model and GovernanceTechnology and Innovation (including Generative AI)Stakeholder EngagementChange ManagementThe TeamOur Global Business Services (GBS) Operational Finance team transforms Finance from a traditional function into a dynamic, value-driving capability. By leveraging deep industry insights and innovative approaches, we accelerate business insights and enable Finance to become a strategic partner within the organization.Qualifications RequiredBachelor's degree from an accredited university in business, engineering, information systems, or a related discipline2+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience in business operations, shared services, process improvement, or a related fieldDemonstrated experience supporting project teams in the analysis, design, and implementation of business processes or operating modelsStrong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and modelingExperience preparing client-ready presentations and reports using Microsoft PowerPointFamiliarity with data visualization and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and ability to interpret and communicate data-driven insightsExposure to technology-enabled business transformation, including workflow platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Salesforce), automation, or digital solutionsUnderstanding of or exposure to process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) and change management conceptsMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the futureAbility to travel 50% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you servePreferred:Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely to diverse audiencesStrong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teamsExperience with shared services, outsourcing, or back-office functional optimization projectsFamiliarity with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) or artificial intelligence applications in business operationsExposure to governance frameworks or operating model designExperience supporting change management initiatives, including communications and trainingCertification or coursework in project management, process improvement (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma), or change management (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR)The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $93,225-$163,100.
