Paper Mill Application Engineer

This position requires experience in designing machines specifically for the pulp or paper mill industry.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Design application drawings for products using CAD (2D and 3D) systems.
- Generate production drawings for both in-house and subcontracted shops; manage the mechanical aspects of projects from beginning to end.
- Develop, control, and maintain order release packages and design files.
- Travel as needed (up to 50% of the time) to conduct presentations, audits, measurements, and provide start-up support at client sites.
- Build and maintain customer relationships by obtaining necessary information through on-site measurements, virtual meetings, drawing exchanges, etc.
- Perform technical calculations to ensure the safety and integrity of custom mechanical components; prepare technical documentation and procedures; conduct product inspections and dimensional checks.
- Develop communication materials, such as presentations and videos, to effectively convey key design elements to clients or manufacturing partners.
- Collaborate internationally with engineering teams located in Canada and Austria.
- Participate in development projects and prototype design.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by company leadership.
Minimum Skill Set Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
- 2 years of practical experience.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D design software.
- Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Fluency in English.
