Store Manager TrainerThe Store Manager Trainer is responsible for traveling to new store locations and assisting Area and District Managers with post-grand opening training. This role ensures that new Store Managers are fully equipped with the knowledge, skills, and leadership abilities needed to deliver operational excellence, exceptional customer service, and meet company performance standards.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Train new store managers following grand openings, covering company policies, operations, leadership expectations, sales strategy, inventory management, and customer service standards.Conduct hands-on, in-store training sessions to reinforce UKG usage and Area/District Manager guidance.Coach store managers on leading by example in all aspects of store performance, including customer interaction, merchandising, team management, and operational compliance.Support succession planning and talent development in collaboration with regional leaders.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:35 years of experience as a Store Manager or Multi-Unit Leader in a retail setting13 years of supervisory experienceProven background in training, mentoring, or onboarding retail leadersStrong understanding of retail operations, POS systems, visual merchandising, and loss preventionExcellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skillsAbility to motivate and influence othersProficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with LMS platforms a plusAble to travel up to 75% with minimal noticeEducation & Experience Requirements:High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred35 years of relevant experienceNo licenses or certifications requiredKey Competencies:Leadership & InfluenceTraining & FacilitationCollaboration & CommunicationTime ManagementEmotional IntelligenceProblem Solving & AdaptabilityResults-Oriented ThinkingWork Scope & Conditions:Supervisory Responsibilities: May direct daily activities of store-level team members during training, but does not hire, terminate, discipline, or conduct formal reviewsDecision Making: Contributes to operational decisions that affect training and store performanceProblem Solving: Applies general precedents and professional judgment to varied situationsWork Independence: Follows guidelines with supervisory support availableInternal/External Contact: Regular contact with internal staff and store-level employees for training and supportFiscal Responsibility: NonePhysical Requirements:Must be able to carry up to 40 lbsMust be able to travel extensivelyActive listening and physical presence required in storesWork Environment:Face-to-face in retail store settingsIndoor, collaborative, and fast-paced team environmentsEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
