Role Description

This is a full-time position for a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician. The technician will be responsible for equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair tasks associated with industrial maintenance operations.


  • Assemble, Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring and mechanical related equipment and fixtures in accordance with code compliance using hand and power tools
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment.
  • Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards, defects for adjustment and repair.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using ohmmeters, voltmeters and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety of systems.
  • Troubleshoot for proper mechanical operation of equipment and ensure safety systems, guarding, handrails, etc. are in place and functional
  • Preventative Maintenance
  • Downtime prevention
  • Communicate across various levels of the organization to achieve departmental goals
  • Collaborate with manufacturing team to ensure production conformity
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Equipment Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, and Maintenance & Repair skills
  • Troubleshooting abilities in an industrial setting
  • Experience in industrial maintenance practices
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Experience with large-scale machinery is a plus
  • Technical certification or relevant training


Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Handle moving objects: Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning and moving materials. 
  • The ability to see details at close and distant range with depth perception and the ability to see colors.
  • Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking stooping and handling materials.
  • Indoor and outdoor climate conditions during all seasons and in varying temperatures.
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.

 

Job Type: Full Time. Hourly, non-exempt.
