We are looking for a team lead to help us achieve our organizational objectives by continuously evaluating our current Human Resource application platforms and processes. You will join a team passionate about the future while navigating the complexities of our current design. We strive to provide exceptional customer support and employ creative problem-solving to deliver straightforward solutions in a complex environment.

As the HRIS Operations Manager, your primary responsibilities will include managing a small team responsible for all data processing and customer support within our current Workday environment, as well as assisting with the configuration of core HCM data components. You will work closely with HR functions, providing tactical leadership and technical strategy related to core HCM functions.

  • Understanding the configuration and effective utilization of HRIS applications
  • Maintaining HRIS operations, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of Core HCM data
  • Gathering and detailing business requirements and translating them into technical requirements; performing fit/gap analysis
  • Evaluating and recommending the best approaches, and ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and informed throughout the project lifecycle Providing information to inform leadership in their decision-making
  • Managing the reorganization process
  • Overseeing ongoing HRIS support, training, and troubleshooting for HR staff and other end-users

  • A Bachelor‘s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or other relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of business systems analysis experience with demonstrable understanding of HR Information Systems such as Workday, iCIMS or Saba/Cornerstone
  • The ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of constituents
  • Demonstrated capability to quickly learn new applications to support business function requirements
  • Competence to synthesize difficult concepts and clearly describe them to non-technical users and developing operation policies and practices
  • A solid understanding of regulatory and legislative requirements that affect Human Resources

The referenced pay range is based on JHU APL‘s good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level with consideration for internal parity. For salaried employees scheduled to work less than 40 hours per week, annual salary will be prorated based on the number of hours worked. APL may offer bonuses or other forms of compensation per internal policy and/or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be provided in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, locality allowance or discretionary payments for exceptional performance. APL provides eligible staff with a comprehensive benefits package including retirement plans, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, education assistance, and training and development. Maximum Rate
