The Senior Analyst will be responsible for managing a pipeline of issues and process improvement opportunities identified throughout the Servicing Enterprise. The Senior Business Analyst will address issues, conduct root cause analysis and execute on plans for resolution related to issue remediation and process improvement.


The Senior Analyst provides support to various lines of business and Senior Leadership by managing issues and ensuring all timelines are met. The Senior Business Analyst will also partner with Legal/Compliance and Risk partners in tracking, analyzing and driving identified process gaps through remediation.

  • Manage a pipeline of identified issues through the established issues management process by performing root cause analysis, ensuring all agreed upon remediation steps are completed timely and accurately.
  • Develop and maintain remediation action plans with relevant owners and completion timelines to ensure each issue is managed accurately, efficiently and is properly documented through each step of the process
  • Facilitate multiple meetings for each issue with multiple stakeholders including Senior Leadership, with a goal of fully understanding the scope, impact, and facts, as well as to identify detailed remediation steps. Capture detailed meeting minutes as applicable
  • Apply critical thinking to issue resolution to ensure impacted processes are being remediated accurately to mitigate existing and future risks
  • Responsible for working with other business units to ensure issues are remediated quickly and accurately.
  • Apply critical thinking and analytical support in reviewing various process enhancements and controls implemented for each issue. Ensure each issue is being remediated within the assigned timeline: conduct timely and frequent follow ups; schedule meetings timely; escalate to Leadership as needed
  • Educate and train other team members as needed.
  • Establish and foster a work culture at all levels within the operation which is positive, collaborative, respectful, optimistic, and capable of driving long term operational sustainability.
  • Work with management to develop and implement new or revised processes and procedures to realize efficiencies.
  • Identify possible emerging risks and engage Leadership as applicable

Education and/or Experience:

Five plus years mortgage servicing experience (across multiple departments is desired).

Minimum of two years of issue remediation experience; issues management; audits; and/or QC/QA

Strong skills in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP’s, Excel formulas and other Excel functions)

Ability to multi-task and work in a high volume, time-sensitive environment with multiple completing priorities

Ability to work with all levels of Leadership; articulate issues and resolutions in a clear and concise manner

Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently as well as in a team setting

Excellent critical thinking & problem solving

Fast learner, able to embrace new ideas and thrive in a fast-paced environment
