Controls EngineerWe are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team, supporting advanced manufacturing and automation processes. This role focuses on designing, programming, troubleshooting, and optimizing control systems, including PLCs, robotics, and HMI applications. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a hands-on approach to enhance operational efficiency and support innovative engineering solutions.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement PLC and robot control programs to support manufacturing operations, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and controls-related issues, leveraging a deep understanding of equipment sequences and automation systems.Respond promptly to equipment downtime, coordinating with internal teams and external resources to minimize disruptions and restore functionality.Develop and enhance Human-Machine Interface (HMI) applications to improve operator interaction and system monitoring.Lead equipment improvement projects, from concept to execution, ensuring alignment with production goals and timelines.Collaborate with cross-functional launch teams to successfully transfer new technologies and processes to the production environment.Support the selection of suppliers for capital equipment and ensure project milestones and delivery schedules are met.Assist in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance plans for electrical and control systems on new and existing equipment.Maintain accurate documentation, including equipment lists, spare parts, and electrical drawings, to support operational continuity.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $115000.00/yr.We offer a 401(k) plan with a generous company match and an automatic retirement contribution for your future financial security from day one of your employment, you and your eligible dependents will receive comprehensive medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage.Enjoy three weeks of paid vacation, along with paid company holidays.We provide paid sick leave, employee assistance, and wellness incentive programs to support your well-being.Life insurance and disability coverage to protect you and your family.Voluntary benefits, including options for legal, pet, home, and auto insurance.We offer generous birth/adoption and parental leave benefits, as well as adoption assistance, to support growing families.Pursue your educational goals with our tuition reimbursement program.Recognize and be recognized We celebrate service anniversaries and offer spot performance bonus opportunities to show our appreciation.Workplace TypeThis is a fully onsite position in Florence, SC.Application DeadlineThis position is anticipated to close on Aug 18, 2025.About ActalentActalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
