Shifts available are:Night Shift Schedule:7:00pm - 7:00amWhy should you apply?By joining the Pactiv Evergreen Packer Team, you will be part of a global leader with endless opportunities for building the career you want In addition, as a packer you will receive:3-day weekend every other weekOnly at work 15 days out of the monthExcellent benefitsPaid time offReimbursement up to $80 for steel toe shoesCompensation:Competitive starting pay rate $28.78-$39.44Eligible for annual & skill-based wage increasesAdd extra money to your paycheck by referring friends and familyEligible for monthly bonus based upon plant productivityBenefits:Medical, Dental, VisionPrescription drug coverage401K with a company matchNew Hire Wellness Bonus (see plan details)Healthcare and Dependent day care flexible spending accountsCorporate discountsResponsibilitiesDuties and ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical wiring and electronic controllers as necessary.Tear down; replace defective component units and parts such as bearings, motors, servo motors, PLC's, gears, electronic drives, clutches, brakes, belts, chains and electrical parts.Perform all preventive maintenance checks, as required.Works from specifications on blueprints, drawings, and layouts.Repair equipment to maximum efficiencies, which meet or exceed productivity improvements and waste reduction requirements.Continuously monitor equipment and communicate to supervision all equipment problems or concerns.Follows safety rules and keeps work area in a clean and orderly condition.SafetySeek to understand and support a safety culture and workplace.Remain aware of surroundings and obtain knowledge of all required PPE for the job.Responsible for following all required safety procedures for each task you do.Keep work area clean and organized.Report any safety concern, risk, hazard, near miss, or injury immediately to the appropriate supervision on shift.QualityFollow all GMP guidelines required by the site and for each work station.Inspect all product passing through the workstation for any possible defects or product concerns.Report any concerns on quality of product immediately to appropriate supervision on shift.ProductivityMust be able to construct empty boxes at a rate sufficient to maintain production on assigned machine running at standard rate.Must be able to properly palletize finished product at a rate sufficient to maintain production and ready product for transportation.Must be able to inspect product being manufactured to ensure the various visual quality parameters of the product produced are within acceptable limits and quickly notify the Operator and/or Supervisor of any of quality issues.Must do general housekeeping of manufacturing areas and equipment to ensure a safe, efficient and contamination free work area and equipment is maintained. This includes sweeping and mopping of the production area, wiping down the machines and removal of disposal of waste and rubbish.Must assist the operators as required in routine start-up and shut down procedures and changing packing materials from one product to another.Must be able to salvage and re-pack product that is either damaged or otherwise does not meet quality requirements.Must be able to grind defective product and must be able to keep trash and regrind separate.Must be willing to work at any packing position available including other areas and/or departments in the plant as work load and customer requirements demand.Must be willing to work overtime when needed.Must promptly inform supervisor of any issues concerning safety, health, hygiene, quality and efficiencies.Must perform other tasks within the plant as assigned by the supervisor or group leader.QualificationsQualifications:Maintenance Technician candidates should have 3+ years of Maintenance experience within a manufacturing organization.Prior Injection Molding or Extrusion, preferred.Must have High School diploma or equivalent.Experience with Packaging Equipment is desirable.Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems and machinery.Must be able to read blueprints.Maintenance Technicians should have own tools; company will provide additional specialty tools if necessary.Proficient with Computers is a plus.Initiative Volunteers readily; Undertakes self-development activities; Seeks increased responsibilities; Takes independent actions and calculated risks; Looks for and takes advantage of opportunities; Asks for and offers help when needed.Good communication skills are required to interact with Supervision and other Departments.Pactiv Evergreen is now a part of Novolex.
