The position provides leadership and direction to part-time staff about building policy and procedures.This role will pay an annual salary of $45,000-$55,000.Benefits for full-time roles: Health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) savings plan, 401(k) matching, and paid time off (vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays).This position will remain open until July 31, 2025.About the VenueSantander Arena, located in downtown Reading, Pennsylvania, is a versatile venue that serves as the home arena for the Reading Royals, the ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers. The Santander Arena has hosted an array of live events including concerts, Disney on Ice, and other family friendly events attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors annually.ResponsibilitiesOversees housekeeping services for the facilitiesAssign work activities, monitor workflow, identify and resolve common operational issuesMaintain an accurate record keeping system for hazardous materials communication programInteracting with clients, serving their needs within the confines of state and local laws, and providing physical facility needs and performing custodial dutiesOperation and troubleshoot issues with cleaning equipment, including auto scrubbers, pressure washers, and utility vehiclesReview and coordinate and changeover work plan, facility maintenance and operationsSelect, train, motivate and evaluate housekeeping staff; provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline and termination proceduresCoordinate building housekeeping needs on event daysWork with facilities management, concessionaire and outside vendors to ensure all areas are safe and clean for patronsUnderstand and enforce all building and housekeeping union policiesCoordinate and enforce venues greening initiativesSupport Operations team with all work associated with event day incident tracking proceduresCoordinate and/or supervise work assignmentsCoordinate/assist department with all training provided by Facility Management DepartmentQualifications3-5 years of experience in a sports/entertainment facility preferredBA Degree requiredProficiency in Microsoft Windows based processing and spreadsheet applicationsProficiency in automated payroll, scheduling, and inventory control systemsCapable of rotating shifts, work split shifts, work weekendsPossess a valid Driver's LicenseSuperior communicative and supervisory skillsAbility to function in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentCandidates must be able to follow orders explicitly, be capable of working as part of a team, and be able to work well with other individuals.
