The entry-level Human Resources Generalist plays a supporting role in managing various human resources tasks. This includes participating in various phases of the employee lifecycle, aiding in recruitment efforts, maintaining employee records, managing benefits and leave administration, as well as overseeing payroll and HR Information System (HRIS) administration. Additionally, this role involves providing administrative assistance to the Regional Director of Human Resources, the HR department, and other company employees as required.

Verify and maintain the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of data in HR Information System (HRIS), specifically Workday.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Resolve Workday issues, coordinating with the IS department when necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, employment laws, and regulations, including labor law postings and reporting.
  • Collaborate with management to update job descriptions as business needs evolve.
  • Facilitate recruitment by screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
  • Oversee new hire orientations and update company records accordingly.
  • Ensure completion of employment prerequisites and maintain personnel records across multiple formats.
  • Manage I-9 process with accuracy and perform regular audits.
  • Serve as a liaison for employee benefits inquiries and issues.
  • Administer leave policies, overseeing relevant paperwork and disability cases.
  • Assist with performance reviews, employee relations, and termination processes.
  • Organize company appointments and events.
  • Carry out any additional tasks as needed.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will exhibit strong business ethics with a commitment to confidentiality. They should possess outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, as well as excellent interpersonal and customer service capabilities. Strong time management skills are essential, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks effectively in a high-speed setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint, is also required.


A college degree preferred, ideally with a focus on human resources or a related discipline, or an equivalent experience. A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience is also necessary.
