Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Coordination:
  • Collaborate closely with construction firms and internal teams to define project requirements, timelines, and objectives.
  • Develop detailed project plans encompassing scheduling, resource allocation, and budgeting.
  • Liaise with engineering teams to ensure accurate interpretation and execution of structural designs.
  • Identify potential project risks and devise effective mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Resource Management:
  • Efficiently allocate manpower, equipment, and materials to meet project milestones and deadlines.
  • Work closely with procurement teams to ensure timely acquisition of necessary materials and supplies.
  • Monitor resource utilization throughout the project lifecycle and adjust plans as needed to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Proactively identify resource constraints and address them to prevent delays or disruptions.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:
  • Establish and enforce stringent quality control measures to ensure adherence to industry standards, codes, and project specifications.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality audits to assess workmanship and compliance with project requirements.
  • Promptly address any non-conformities or deviations, implementing corrective actions as necessary to maintain quality standards.
  • Document quality assurance processes and outcomes to facilitate project evaluation and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal project teams, fostering open communication and collaboration.
  • Provide regular updates and progress reports to stakeholders, keeping them informed of project status, milestones, and any issues or concerns.
  • Proactively resolve conflicts and address client feedback to ensure alignment with project objectives and maintain positive relationships.
  • Solicit feedback from stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate changes to enhance project outcomes.
  • Safety and Risk Management:
  • Champion a culture of safety on-site, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and training sessions to promote awareness and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Identify and assess project risks, developing comprehensive risk management plans to minimize exposure and ensure the safety of all personnel and assets.
  • Implement proactive measures to address emergent safety concerns and prevent accidents or incidents on-site.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Proven track record of successful project management in the structural steel fabrication industry.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools for scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and protocols relevant to the construction industry.
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
  • PMP certification or equivalent credentials preferred.
