We offer company paid benefits including health insurance, retirement and flexible working schedule.

Base position is for 1295 hours in a 9-month work calendar per year, working 35 hours per week with summer, winter break, spring break and major holidays off. Additional salary levels available for additional hours per week and during the summer and other breaks. Salary range shows minimum and maximum salary available to successful candidates.

I) INTRODUCTION:

Working alongside a highly experienced multi-disciplinary team, provide a comprehensive physical therapy program to children with disabilities from birth to age six to children with disabilities. Clinic setting will provide services to children with disabilities, injuries and other needs outside of an educational setting.


II) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Conduct screenings of development as requested in order to identity the need for further evaluation.

2) Conduct formal and informal evaluations including standardized tests and clinical observation and compile results into a multidisciplinary report.

3) Participate in the development and review of the IEP/IFSP and doctors' orders for identified children including writing annual goals and short-term objectives.

4) Provide individual and small group therapy in accordance with the IEP/IFSP or doctors' orders.

5) Provide services in inclusive preschool classrooms and/or other settings.

6) Provide consultation and training to teachers, other therapists and support staff regarding therapeutic procedures and techniques, positioning and feeding programs, adaptive equipment, and other activities needed to achieve IEP/IFSP goals and objectives.

7) Assist parents and other caregivers through consultation or home programming in understanding the child’s needs, therapy services, and how to assist the child in the home setting.

8) Collect and report data and other information about the child’s progress. Keep current, accurate treatment notes for billing purposes.

9) Supervise the delivery of services by paraprofessional staff members, practicum students and volunteers, as needed.

10) Assist in the transition of children from the program into the public schools.

11) Other duties as assigned relating to the effective delivery of services to children with disabilities and their families.


III) MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy with Wyoming License required. Pediatric experience preferred.


IV) ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Must be able to operate equipment typical in classroom and office settings, including assembling and dissembling toys and equipment. Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and speaking with a variety of audiences including parents, professionals and community members. Must understand the federal and state statues and interpret rules and procedures. Should be organized and be able to work independently. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift up to fifty pounds, and be patient as well as agile in bending, walking other positions necessary for the care of children. Willingness and ability to travel in own vehicle throughout assigned service area.
