JOB Overview
Dahl Memorial Healthcare a critical access hospital seeks a dedicated Radiology Tech to join our compassionate healthcare team. This position will be responsible as the imaging technologist for all imaging orders. Strives to uphold the mission values and views of the organization.

All other duties as assigned when and where needed will be performed in times of fluctuating census staff shortages emergencies or special circumstances.

ACCOUNTABILITY/ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Responsible to the Director of Imaging. Position does not supervise other staff unless delegated by the Director.
EDUCATION:
- Associates degree or higher in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program. ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required. Montana state license to practice as a Radiologic Technologist (or eligible for license).
- CERTIFICATION: ARRT (CT) certification is preferred or must be obtained within a specific time frame. BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification.
- EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 12 years of experience in a radiology department is preferred. Experience working in a rural or critical access hospital environment is a plus.
- SPECIAL SKILLS:
- Proficient in operating radiologic and CT equipment. Knowledge of radiation safety procedures and standards. Excellent patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with remote technologists. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Patient Care: Ability to position patients for imaging procedures and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in operating imaging equipment including Xray and CT machines and performing diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Communication: Clear and professional verbal and written communication with patients staff and remote technologists.
- ProblemSolving: Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues or patientrelated concerns.
- Adaptability: Ability to manage both traditional and remote CT workflows and adjust to the needs of a rural healthcare environment.
- Compliance: Adheres to healthcare regulations including radiation safety HIPAA and hospital policies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform radiologic examinations in line with physicians orders ensuring images are of high diagnostic quality.
- Implement and follow safety protocols including radiation protection practices for patients self and staff.
- Maintain communication with the radiologist or interpreting physician to ensure accurate reporting of results.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with imaging equipment when necessary.
- Adhere to the hospitals policies and procedures including compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and ensuring that all imagingrelated documentation is properly recorded and filed.
