We are offering a unique opportunity for entrepreneurial and growth-oriented candidates to join the Co-Founders of TravisMathew and Cuater in building the next great men’s apparel brand.


We are seeking a skilled Apparel Product Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for apparel, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate creative concepts into commercially viable products. As an Apparel Product Developer, you will play a pivotal role in bringing our designs from concept to completion, ensuring they meet our quality standards, cost objectives, and timeline requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Development: Lead the end-to-end product development process from concept to commercialization, ensuring products meet brand aesthetic, quality, and performance standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Design, Merchandising, Sourcing, and Production teams to translate design concepts into technical specifications and production-ready samples.
  • Material Selection: Source and evaluate fabrics, trims, and materials that achieve desired aesthetic and performance attributes while maintaining cost targets.
  • Communication: Assist with daily communication with overseas and domestic suppliers for development submits and approvals via email or phone. 
  • Sampling and Testing: Manage the various sample, testing, and fit phases to validate product performance, fit, comfort, and durability, making necessary adjustments to achieve desired outcomes. (Protos to TOP’s)
  • Organization and Tracking: Manage and update day-to-day Development master WIP.
  • Cost Management: Partner with Sourcing to achieve target cost objectives without compromising on product quality or brand integrity.
  • Timeline Management: Drive projects according to timelines and milestones, ensuring on-time delivery of samples and final products.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures throughout the development process to uphold Brand’s standards for excellence.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and consumer insights to inform product decisions and maintain competitive advantage.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel/Textile Development, or related field.
  • Proven experience (3years+) in apparel product development. (Prior experience in Men’s contemporary or Performance markets a plus)
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, and textiles.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
  • Commitment to quality, detail-oriented mindset, and problem-solving ability.
