CRNA Program Director | Nebraska Methodist College

Nebraska Methodist College is hiring a CRNA Program Director. This position involves administrative and operational oversight of the CRNA program, including faculty hiring, curriculum development, accreditation compliance, and program evaluation. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and efficiently achieve program goals.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with college leadership on doctoral student issues, policies, and accreditation requirements.
  • Manages the program's budget in partnership with college leadership and financial staff.
  • Works with the assistant director and faculty to ensure quality curriculum, instruction, and program evaluation in the didactic phase.
  • Leads the accreditation process with COA and CCNE, including initial and continued accreditation.
  • Supervises faculty hiring, evaluation, mentorship, course management, student advisement, and engages with internal and external stakeholders on program progress.

Location:

  • Methodist College - 720 N. 87th Street, Omaha, NE.

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday, full-time.

Job Requirements:

  • Doctoral degree (PhD, DNP, DNAP, or EdD) from an accredited institution of higher education required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of practice as a CRNA required.
  • Experience in classroom instruction or nursing program leadership required.
  • Evidence of excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Knowledge of curricular design to include experience in distance education and development of quality online programs preferred.
  • Prior experience with program accreditation processes preferred.
  • Prior experience with evaluation and outcomes assessment preferred.
  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) though the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) required.
  • Current valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, valid compact multistate license, or a temporary permit while awaiting licensure required.
  • APRN-Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (APRN-CRNA) license in Nebraska required upon hire.
  • Eligible for the Controlled Substance Registration Certification (CSRC) through the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). Certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
  • Active member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology required.
