Project:

Our client is expanding and looking to develop new web applications and cloud platforms for several enterprise projects. The team has an immediate need for a Manager of Software Engineering. The team is responsible for the E-Commerce platform for the enterprise and works directly with the customer-facing website. The team will be working on new web/cloud/mobile development using .NET and AWS technologies. This role will be predominantly working in a leadership function providing high-level guidance and mentorship for developers and architects while collaborating with other Senior Leaders in IT for future strategic implementations in AI, machine learning, and more. The team is looking for someone who is collaborative, comes from a technical background in architecture or lead development, and is able to take initiative starting on new projects while working with a team at your side. Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the visioning, architecture, development, and sustainment of solutions in a large, complex, technology portfolios utilizing various technologies
  • Fostering an environment of transparency and open discussion, resource planning, working closely with other leaders and direct reports and ensuring adherence to security and compliance guidelines
  • Collaborate across teams (internal and external) at senior levels to drive engagement
  • Responsible for leading the engineering and planning functions for the various development teams
  • Communicate and liaise with the business partners to ensure efficient delivery of milestones
  • Develop and deliver executive level presentations to both business and IT leadership on topics related to the assigned portfolio and related technologies
  • Propose changes to technology and process and bring new ideas and efforts to reality
  • Directly responsible for a team of employees and contractors with responsibility (hire, fire, coach, mentor, train, discipline, etc.)
  • Mentor and support the professional, technical, and personal growth of team members
  • Plan development solutions based on project objectives and requirements
  • Collaborate with other developers to maintain structured code
  • Develop APIs and make API calls as needed
  • Advise on new technologies and methodologies
  • Environment: .NET Core, Microservices, Angular, AWS, iOS/Android, Agile/Scrum, Git, and more


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or related work experience
  • Strong experience with full stack development using object-oriented languages (.NET preferred)
  • Strong experience with team communication
  • Experience with the full SDLC
  • Experience with application architecture
  • Experience with and/or an interest to step into leadership/people management
  • Ability to work on a direct W-2, client can sponsor visas directly (no 1099/C2C engagements)
