Desktop Support Techs, We Want You The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking a qualified PC Network/Desktop Support Technician to join our team of on-site technical professionals. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time, at our facility or local campus. Note: This position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. Applicants are encouraged to apply only if they are willing to work on-site. Roles and Responsibilities: Provides technical support for computers and associated networks. Installs, troubleshoots, services, and repairs personal computers, related PC software, telephones, cables, and connectors. Connects personal computers and terminals to existing data networks and performs basic PC configurations. Instructs and assists users in the use of personal computers and networks. Completes paperwork and other tasks needed to satisfy Security requirements. Follows all Security regulations regarding the installation, maintenance, and retirement of PCs and related hardware/software. Coordinates with users, program staff, server administrators, network engineers, and IT management. Works with engineers to resolve support issues. Participates in new installations, testing, and special projects as needed. Spends significant portions of the day away from the desk supporting users and moving equipment. Provide Windows systems management and basic network administration. Monitors ticket queues to ensure SLAs are met. Works after hours, including weekends when needed. Exhibits good communication skills and patience with customers. Lift up to 40 pounds. Basic Qualifications: High School diploma and 4 years of IT related experience; OR an Associates degree and 2 years of IT related experience; OR a Bachelors degree and 0 year of IT related experience is required. Experience with Microsoft products including Windows Server 10/11, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio is required. Candidates must possess a DoD 8570 IAT level II (or higher) baseline certification; OR must have the ability to obtain the certification within 6 months from start date. Candidates must have a current DOD Secret level security clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Associates degree (or similar technical diploma/degree) and 3 years of experience with IT related software/hardware. Experience supporting large user populations in a secure environment. Experience in Active Directory configuring user and computer accounts. Strong understanding of networking principles. CompTIA Network+ or equivalent. Experience operating under and managing systems within NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG environments. Experience using ServiceNow in an enterprise environment.
