In this role, the Director of Encounter Data Reporting will be managing and leading the encounter data reporting team in designing and developing data processes, collaborating with stakeholders and vendors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, supporting other business areas and the compliance department with encounter data inquiries and audits, and providing executives with key performance indicators on encounter data reporting.

This is a hybrid opportunity with 2 days in the office and 3 days remote.
Responsibilities:
 The Director of Encounter Data Reporting will be responsible for:

  • Oversee the submission of encounter data to NYSDOH OSDS
  • Supervise the submission of encounter data to CMS
  • Collaborate with vendor management to provide support and oversight to delegated vendors regarding encounter data submission processes
  • Assist compliance and regulatory departments with inquiries related to encounter data processes
  • Support MMCOR reporting requirements
  • Generate KPI reports for encounter data reporting
  • Participate in organizational data governance and data strategy initiatives
  • Develop process documentation
  • Establish policies and procedures for encounter data processes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Database Management
  • Healthcare industry experience with knowledge in membership, provider, and claims data 7+ years programming experience in SQL database development
  • 5+ years experience in progressively complex healthcare data analytics
  • Knowledgeable in BI reporting tools, such as BusinessObjects, Tableau, or Power BI

Desired Skills:

  • Master's Degree
  • Experience in a supervisory or team lead role managing database developers and data analysts
