Human Resources Generalist PositionAtlanta Technical College (ATC), a state agency, is currently seeking applicants to fill the full-time HR Generalist position in the Office of Human Resources. This position will be located on ATC's main campus, just south of downtown Atlanta.Duties/ResponsibilitiesThe HR Generalist will:Serve as an advanced recruiter, preparing and posting vacancies and screening applications; manage vacancies related to assigned divisions.Process personnel transactions in TeamWorks HCM, including hire, transfer, promotion, separation, retirement, salary supplements, salary increase/decrease, and position actions.Act as a time and labor central administrator by enrolling time reporters, updating schedules, approving/modifying/auditing time entries, as needed.Coordinate and review requests for leave under FMLA.Process requests related to Workers' Compensation and work with the employee and supervisor to ensure all items have been submitted to the State Board.Assist with the record management function including maintenance, retention, transfer, and disposition of personnel records and files.Perform periodic audits of HR related items to ensure compliance based on federal and state regulations.Assist with scheduling interviews and preparing documents for interviews.Complete verifications of employment, reference checks, and assist with managing the HR inbox and related tasks.Draft and maintain reports related to vacancies, payroll, ACA, AAP new hires, and terminations.Provide information and advice to employees, supervisors, and managers regarding minor day-to-day employee/manager relations issues and HR policies.Act as a liaison between human resources and the payroll department.Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers of the Office of Human Resources.Coordinate all employee background checks, drug testing, MVR, and receive and process E-Verify.Conduct new employee orientation and new hire pre-onboarding orientation.Conduct supervisory and performance management trainings.Maintain the e-performance management process in TeamWorks HCM.Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an area related to the assignment and two (2) years of full-time experience in a position directly related to the performance of the job. Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.Preferred RequirementsThree or more years' experience within Human Resources with a State of Georgia agency or TCSG institution office, processing transactions in TeamWorks HCM, experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to post and screen vacancies, experience managing FMLA and Worker's Compensation, and providing guidance on employee/manager relation issues.Physical RequirementsSome lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required in this position.Equal Opportunity EmployerAs set forth in its student catalog, Atlanta Technical College does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, gender, religion, disability, age, political affiliation or belief, veteran status, or citizenship status.
