Summary

We are recruiting a seasoned VDC Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing modeling coordination, design, and fabrication within our client's VDC department. As the coordinator, you will provide direction to technicians, delegate tasks, answer queries, and manage projects within the department. This role requires hands-on involvement in projects while effectively managing timelines, delegating tasks, and setting clear expectations.


Communication skills are key as you'll collaborate across departments and manage client relationships. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of electrical experience and 5 years of modeling and coordination experience, with direct proficiency in Revit and familiarity with Navisworks. This role offers growth opportunities based on company expansion and your success in the role.


Location

Our client's HQ is located in Greensboro, NC. This opportunity will be primarily remote with 5 – 10% travel.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Model and Coordinate all Electrical layout and design per contract documents and NEC.
  • Work under the direction of the BIM Manager, Project Manager, & Project Supervisor.
  • Collaborate and Coordinate with other disciplines regarding design and model challenges.
  • Adhere to the BIM Execution Plan and BIM project workflow criteria
  • Follow BIM content standards and development procedures.
  • Print drawing sets for professional teams and participate in discipline reviews.
  • Produce Shop Drawings and As-Built.
  • Ensure LOD meets contract requirements.
  • Assist project managers and superintendents in laying out work.
  • Document Management Control.


Education, Skills, and Experience

  • 5+ years of electrical experience.
  • 5+ years of modeling and coordination experience.
  • Knowledge of electrical installation techniques.
  • Skill in interpreting plans, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Ability to effectively communicate.
  • Knowledge and ability to use all Microsoft Office programs.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and ViewPoint. - Candidate would be expected to use all of these within 6 months of hire date.
