Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

Location: Wilmington, DE / Whippany, NJ

Duration: 12+ months

Job Description:

  1. The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-performance, scalable software solutions.
  2. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Coherence caching, Java, and JEE frameworks, along with hands-on experience with cloud platforms and DevOps tools.
  3. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver robust software systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement caching solutions using Oracle Coherence for high-performance applications.
  2. Set up and manage Oracle Coherence cache environments.
  3. Develop and maintain messaging systems using MQ, RabbitMQ, and IBM MQ.
  4. Apply Object-Oriented Design principles using Java or other programming languages
  5. Utilize Java 1.8 and JEE frameworks such as Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and JPA for application development.
  6. Develop and consume SOAP Webservices. Leverage AWS and OpenShift for cloud-based application deployment and management.
  7. Implement authentication protocols such as OAuth and OAuth 2. Use build tools like Maven and Gradle to automate software build processes.
  8. Employ DevOps practices and tools, including Jenkins Pipelines, for continuous integration and delivery.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering.
  3. Proven expertise in Coherence caching and Oracle Coherence setup.
  4. Strong experience with messaging systems like MQ, RabbitMQ, and IBM MQ.
  5. Proficiency in Java 1.8 and object-oriented programming.
  6. Extensive experience with JEE frameworks (Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, JPA). Familiarity with SOAP Webservices. Knowledge of AWS and OpenShift platforms.
  7. Experience with authentication protocols such as OAuth and OAuth 2. Proficient in build tools like Maven and Gradle.
  8. Experience with DevOps tools and practices, especially Jenkins Pipelines.
  9. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  10. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
