Job title: Data Architect

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Architect with proven ability to join our team. We are looking for someone with extensive technical proficiency in PL/SQL, SQL, and Informatica PowerCenter, coupled with a deep understanding of the Payer domain. The successful candidate will be well-versed in the technical aspects and possess domain expertise in Payer, this hybrid role requires a candidate who can work optimally both remotely and on-site during day shifts. The position does not require travel.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and implementation of complex data solutions using PL/SQL and Informatica PowerCenter
  • Coordinate the development and maintenance of data architectures that support business requirements and objectives
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members to ensure high-quality deliverables
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture and analyze business requirements translating them into technical specifications
  • Safeguard data integrity and security by upholding industry standards and implementing established protocols.
  • Optimize database performance through tuning and query optimization techniques
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data architectures processes and procedures
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure adherence to coding standards
  • Fix and resolve complex technical issues related to data integration and processing
  • Participate in project planning and estimation activities to ensure timely delivery of solutions
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve data solutions
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns
  • Contribute to the overall success of the company by delivering high-quality data solutions that drive business value.
Qualifications
  • Possess a strong background in PL/SQL and Informatica PowerCenter with at least 8 years of hands-on experience
  • Demonstrate expertise in the Payer domain understanding its unique challenges and requirements
  • Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Show proficiency in database performance tuning and query optimization techniques
  • Display strong communication skills both written and verbal to effectively interact with stakeholders
  • Have experience in leading and mentoring junior team members to foster a collaborative work environment
  • Be capable of working in a hybrid model balancing remote and on-site work effectively
  • Demonstrate a dedication to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends
  • Show a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues before they escalate
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Salary and Other Compensation:

The base annual salary for this position is between $81,848 to $156,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Applications will be accepted until November 11th, 2024.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
