Summary:

  • Create mechanical systems that meet customer needs and project specifications.
  • Develop affordable designs based on project goals.
  • Maintain project records using SolidWorks PDM and IFS ERP systems.
  • Generate bill of materials and drawings for manufacturing.
  • Design, test, and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Assist shop floor personnel and customers with technical issues.
  • Provide technical support, including communication and occasional site visits.
  • Work closely with customers, suppliers, and colleagues throughout a project.
  • Investigate and address quality control reports.
  • Collaborate with vendors to improve product quality and reduce costs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2-3 years in structural, mechanical, and hydraulic machine design.
  • Lean production concepts, FMEA, Lean practices, Six Sigma, Value Engineering.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, customer service, deadline-oriented, teamwork, decision-making, SolidWorks proficiency, FEA (a plus), hydraulic system design/troubleshooting, heavy machinery design.
