Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Location: El Paso, TX 79912
Duration: 6 to 12 months
Pay Rate: $38 to $45/hour but final rate will be determined by HRBP.
1st shift - 6 am to 4 pm; but flexible to support a mid-shift, (10 am – 8 pm) if needed.
(Potentially temp to hire but unknown now what the head count approvals will be at that time).
The line/area that they will be supporting works 1st and 2nd shift.
The person would have responsibility to make sure the 2nd shift is set up to have productive output.
Job Description:
What will you do?
- Identifying/updating work procedures; prepare work schedules and expedite workflow
- Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of workers
- Identify, drive, and implement continuous improvement opportunities within the group
- Analyzing and evaluating problems with inventory, delivery, and/or sales orders. Providing periodic reports and updates to management.
- Leads effort in resolution of warehouse barriers
- Acting as subject matter expert for material providing and handling strategies in support of Production System.
What qualifications will make you successful?
- Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain
- 1+ years minimum experience directly supervising employees (Ex: conducting annual performance appraisals, issuing discipline, hiring/onboarding new talent, creating and achieving department goals)
- 3+ year experience in a Manufacturing or Supply Chain role.
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Prior knowledge/experience with shipping and shipping processes.
- Strong working knowledge of PC applications (Windows, Excel, Word, Access, etc).
- Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma knowledge and application preferred.
