Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Job Specialty: Interventional Radiology (IR) Technician Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 8-Hour Day/Evening Shifts, including call and every other weekend (EOW), with first to float Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours per Week Experience: Minimum of 2 Years License: Required in the State of California Certifications: ARRT, BLS, Fluoroscopy Must-Have: IR certification is preferred Job Description: - Work in an interventional radiology environment with a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. - Handle 5-8 cases per day, depending on the complexity. - Utilize EMR systems, including Cerner and McKesson PACS. - Participate in weekend call rotations, splitting shifts within the team. - Adhere to the hospital's protocol for holiday call work within the rotation schedule. - Wear scrub colors as provided by the facility. - Occasionally manage ventilated patients. - Collaborate with a 24/7 in-house Interventional Radiology team and pharmacy services. - Start shifts at 7:00 AM and 7:30 AM, with call responsibilities beginning at 3:30 PM until 11:00 PM. - Participate in floor-specific orientation for approximately 4 days when floating. - Work with common diagnoses and procedures such as hypoplasty for the spine, catheter changes, checks, removals, port placements, lumbar punctures for chemotherapy, fistulograms, GI tube placements, IVC filters, nephrostomy tube placements, and thrombolysis. - Understand cancellation policies, where the facility may cancel up to three shifts per assignment. - Ensure a smooth workflow and patient care in an acute care setting with a focus on interventional radiology.
