Senior IT Manufacturing Business Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Senior IT Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing business processes, developing a strong partnership with business departments and team leads, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing technology solutions to improve productivity and profitability in our manufacturing operations. The position will be located in Columbia, SC or Deland, FL.

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand and document business processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements
  • Creates relationships with new acquaintances quickly and confidently; works to build trust and partner with stakeholders; successfully manages both internal and external relationships; is comfortable in a challenger role that could require influence
  • Conducts cost-benefit analyses to determine the feasibility of proposed technology solutions
  • Works closely with IT teams to develop and implement software solutions that meet business needs
  • Cocreates, reviews and follows up on test plans and testing methodology to mitigate risks and participates in testing the solution to ensure the solution meets functional and non-functional requirements within the organization
  • Provides training and support to end-users to ensure the effective use of new systems and tools
  • Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of implemented solutions, adjusting as necessary
  • Stays current with industry trends and emerging technologies, proposing innovative solutions to business challenges
  • Participates in project management activities, including communicating, planning, scheduling, and risk management
  • Serves as a liaison between business and IT stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and collaboration
  • Prepares and presents reports to senior management, detailing project designs, architecture, status, issues, and recommendations
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in the manufacturing industry

Job Competencies & Qualifications

  • Proven ability to analyze complex business processes and identify areas for improvement
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies
  • Familiarity with mainstream ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle, is a plus
  • Experience with data driven analysis and visualization tools, such as QlikView or Power BI, is beneficial
  • Certification as a Business Analyst (e.g., CBAP or CCBA) is preferred
  • Experience with Lean or Six Sigma is a plus

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a senior business analyst role, with a focus on manufacturing processes
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and IT systems such as ERP, MRP, MES
  • Travel: 10%
